Home Care Support Team Member

Preston, Lancashire

Our home care support workers provide personalized assistance to individuals in their own homes, helping with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship, while monitoring their health and wellbeing and reporting any concerns to a care manager; essentially aiming to maintain independence and quality of life within their home environment.

Care Home Support Worker

Preston, Lancashire

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Flexible Support Workers to join our team, providing high-quality care and support to elderly residents within care home settings. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives while benefiting from flexible working hours that suit their lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ well-being.
  • Support with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration needs.
  • Encourage and assist residents in engaging with activities to promote social interaction.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or well-being to senior staff.
  • Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.
  • Follow care plans and work in line with health and safety regulations and company policies.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A kind, patient, and caring nature with a genuine passion for supporting the elderly.
  • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential – full training is provided.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to undergo a DBS check.
